DTU is not private but a government college. As a SC student, you can only get admission to DTU having rank up to 2 lacs in JEE Mains.

Marks required to be eligible for these is 60% but some colleges require only 50%. It may be 5% low for SC/ST.
So, try to get a minimum score of 60%.

Hi Ashutosh,
Admission in IISC is done via 3 ways: first is you need to qualify KVPY examination, 2nd is you need to score minimum of 60% in JEE Mains and JEE advance and 3rd is you need to score minimum of 60 percentage in NEET. If you find your self in any of these category, you can apply for IISC and as far as the eligibility is concerned, you need to have minimum of 60% marks in 12th.

Karnataka is not very much known for its mechanical engineering branch, but still, some of the best in its class colleges are RVCE, MVIT, MS Ramaiah, BIT, etc.
