To be selected for B.Tech programme students need to obtain a valid score in JEE .It is possible to get admission to B.Tech at VTU with a JEE percentile of 75.

The eligibility criteria for MBA at VTU Belgaum includes:

  • A valid score in Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ GMAT or ATMA.
  • A minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation from any recognised university.

There shall be an Entrance Examination (PGCET) for admission to the MBA programme at VTU Belgaum. A candidate seeking admission to MBA Programme offered in any of the Engineering Colleges affiliated with VTU shall appear for this Examination.

Comparing the fee structure of both the colleges we can consider VTU  as a little more expensive than JSS Science and Technology University, but there is not a major difference in the fees of different courses present at the colleges. In terms of cost of living, accessability, and other expenses included, VTU Belgaum can be considered more expensive than JSS Science and Technology University.

The selection process for admission to B.Tech at VTU Belgaum includes:

A valid score in JEE Main/COMEDK UGET or in KCET. Candidates need to exceed or match the cutoff percentile demanded by the university. 

A minimum aggregate of 45-50% obtained in 10+2.

There is no such minimum JEE Score required for B.Tech at VTU Belgaum as cutoffs are subject to change every year. The last years' cutoff patterns can be seen on Shiksha's website.

Admissions to VTU are done purely based on the entrance examinations. There are multiple exams accepted for admission varying as per the course opted and its eligibili ycriteria. Some of the entrance exams accepted at VTU Belgaum are JEE mains, GATE, NATA, KMAT, PGCET, etc. Interested candidates can apply to the desired courses through online and offline mode.

The cutoff marks for each course under B.Tech program at VTU Belgaum varies each year with respect to the specialization opted, seat intake and the total number of applicants. An VTU, KCET Cut off of 36616 to 48454th rank was required for general category students for B.Tech in various specializations and 39023 to 58533rd rank for SC category students for B.Tech in various specializations. This is as per the latest information available at the resources. It is advisable to visit the official website for accurate details.

Placement-wise, the two institutes are quite comparable.

The highest package offered at JSPC Jindal was INR 21 Lakh per annum, while Christ University Bangalore had INR 21.46 Lakh per annum as its highest package. The average package was alomst the same at both institutions and was around INR 6 Lacs per annum. Hence no, on the contrary, Christ university offers better placement than JSPC Jindal.
