In 2012, the university was recognised as the best agricultural university in India by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research for which it was conferred the Sardar Patel Outstanding ICAR Institution Award for excellence in teaching, research and extension.They are famous for their placements and education.

As per 2022 batch of UAS the median package was 5 LPA for B.Tech and 7.5 LPA for P.G courses.The median package offered to BTech students in 2022 increased by almost 11% when compared with 2021

The University has redeployment / assigning additional assignment to faculty as Foreign Student Advisor and Assist Foreign Student Advisor under Dean Student Welfare to facilitate their admission, stay on the campus and their welfare with nominated faculty to perform the defined activities of the cell

The University admits students to Bachelor’s degree programmes through KEA-CET by following the Government of Karnataka / ICAR guidelines/norms/roaster. The University has reserved 40 per cent of seats to children of Agriculturists. As per the ICAR direction, 15 per cent of the seats are reserved for ICAR-NTS candidates. "The University also admits foreign students for 5 per cent and NRI students for 10 per cent of the intake. The prescribed qualification is 10+2 with PCMB combinations"

So as per their offical webiste the last date for admission was 29 may. Enrollments in UG courses will be offered through the KEA CET 2023 entrance exam at the University of Agricultural Sciences and the last day of submission was 12 may 2023.
