International students at Lamar University are required to submit their SAT or ACT scores to avail the scholarships. Following are some scholarships with their required SAT and ACT scores-
Cardinal Elite Scholarship: SAT (1330+) or ACT (29+) scores.
Academic Excellence Scholarships: SAT (1200+) or ACT (25-28) scores.
Distinguished Scholars: SAT (1080-1190) or ACT (21-24) scores.
University Scholars: SAT (1010-1070) or ACT (19-21) scores.
However, SAT is not a requirement for the students while taking admission

Eligibility criteria for Indian students to avail scholarships at Lamar University:
Distinguished Scholars Scholarship- Available to first-time-in-college freshman (dual credit and Andhra Pradesh credit are still eligible) with a minimum high school GPA of 3.7.
Incoming Freshmen Scholarship- Available to first-time-in-college freshmen (dual credit and Andhra Pradesh credit are still eligible) with a minimum high school GPA of 3.85.
Graduate Scholarships- The University offers a range of graduate scholarships to eligible indian students, Eligibility criteria varies.

Yes, an average Indian student from tier 2 or tier 3 can join Lamar University. The documents required for indian students are as follows:

Undergraduate Admission Requirements:
Have a high school Diploma from a recognised institution.
SAT/ACT scores and valid high school transcripts must be submitted (optional for first-time freshman beginning in the Spring of 2021 and beyond).
Pay the $25 one-time application fee.
Requirements for Graduate Admission:
Possess a bachelor's degree from a university with regional accreditation.
Provide certified copies of all attended universities' transcripts.
Attain the required GPA, which is often 2.5 or better.
Provide GRE scores if the programme requires them.
Fill out a department application, if the programme requires one.
