Courses in English Proficiency at the University of Edinburgh
These are some of the accepted English language exams for admissions into the university of Edinburgh:
IELTS Academic-All the components must have a score of not less than 5.5 and have an overall score of 6.5.
TOEFL-iBT-the minimum score which is acceptable is 92 with at least 20 in each section.
Cambridge English-the conditions for acceptance as follows: for C1 Advanced (CAE) or C2 Proficiency (CPE an overall score of 176 with no component lower than) 162.
Trinity ISE: ISE II in distinction across all four conponents.
Gatehouse ESOL International: Level 2 or Level 3

Tests in English Acceptable to Yale University
TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English, DET (Duolingo English Test), or InitialView are the English proficiency tests which are required to be taken by all non-native speakers of English who have not completed at least two years of secondary education in English.
