The total number of questions asked in the UPES PAT exam is 125. The UPES PAT exam pattern comprised a total of 20 questions from English Language Comprehension section. There will be 35 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology section.

The University of Glasgow accepts several English language proficiency tests for applicants whose first language is not English. Penn Homonyms are accepted by the Penn State University in view of ensuring competence in English required for success in academic programs at Penn State. Students who are unable to meet the English language test requirements for the admission at the Cranfield University but hold a good academic performance can also apply for the pre-sessional English for Academic Purpose  (EAP) courses at the university. After completing the academic purpose course, students will not require to submit the evidence of their English language proficiency.

Adittionally, it is recommeded to the students to attain higher scores than suggested by the university to be considered for the selection purpose and also necessary to get the student visa.
