Yes but only limited university and the eligibility criteria is that you have to pass aggregate 50% in Diploma (management/commerce/economics). .

Hello kafiltash, for B.Tech lateral entry you must appear in JEE Mains exam from that you can acquire a lateral entry seat, By the way lateral entry seats are meant for those students who had completely passed their first year of B.Tech and wishes to change their college.

For B.Tech lateral admission in MSRIT Bangalore, you need to appear and qualify Diploma Common Entrance Test DCET conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Bangalore. The eligibility criteria is given below.
