Entrance examination is not required for lateral entry. Your Diploma should have been recognized by department of technical education of your state.

In India 90% of colleges provide lateral entry for Diploma students. But, I checked their website, I didn't get anything about lateral entry. I would like to suggest you to contact them directly and ask about it. Following link will direct you to the contact and course details.

In India, about 90% of colleges provide lateral entry for Diploma students. I checked SRM College's official website, but I couldn't find any details about lateral entry. And, if there is lateral entry, you have to write an entrance test for it. I would like to suggest you that you directly contact them and ask about lateral entry. Yes, you can try for Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. Their eligibility criteria are:
(i) The candidate has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject OR Minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) marks in a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration.
