Yes, Vel Tech offers a three-year BTech Lateral Entry course. Admission to this course is merit-based. Students who are willing to get admission to this course are required to pass Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent as the minimum eligibility criteria. The university offers this course around the same specialisations as of BTech.

There is no mention of the availability of BTech (Lateral Entry) courses on the offiical website of SRM University. However, apart from the full-time BTech courses, SRM University, Kattankulathur also offers BTech in part-time mode. These courses are offered across four specialisations. Find them below:
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
The total seat intake for BTech (Part-time) courses is 240.

Yes, Jamia Hamdard offers lateral entry to BTech Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Aspirants must have passed Diploma in Engineering in any branch from a recognised institution/ university with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in aggregate to apply for BTech (LE) course. Admission to BTech (LE) courses is based on merit in the last qualifying exam.

Below is the seat division for CUSAT BTech (LE):
- A 10% of the total strength of individual branches of regular BTech programmes plus any vacant seats in each branch in the previous year batch. 50% of total seats are under All India Merit and 50% are under State Merit.
- An additional 10% of the total seats will be available under EWS (Economically Weaker Section) as supernumerary seats over and above the sanctioned strength.

Admission to the B.Tech programs of UoD will be done on the basis of the All India common rank list of the JEE Main paper-1. So no lateral admission are here. You have to appear in JEE Main exam on the basis of your Diploma for getting admission here.
