IIIT Pune does not offer lateral entry admission for Bachelor of Engineering courses. The institute only admits students through national-level entrance exams like JEE Main for its B.Tech programme in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). Lateral entry admissions, which involve entering directly into the second year of a program, are not part of IIIT Pune's current admission process. Therefore, if you are looking for lateral entry options, IIIT Pune does not provide this pathway for admission

The Panjab University Lateral Entry Entrance Test is also known as PULEET. It is an entrance test conducted by Punjab University for admission to the second year of a four-year Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) course in several engineering colleges affiliated with Punjab University.

Yes, lateral entry is also available for eligible candidates. Under this scheme, the candidate will be selected based on their performance in the personal interview and portfolio.
The candidate has to apply online for admission under this scheme. The application form will open online at the admission portal of the institute.

Yes, UIET Chandigarh offer direct entry to second year of BE course. Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering of minimum three or two years duration with Physics and Mathematics with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ BC/ PwD) to apply for BE (LE). Aspirants who have completed DVoc stream from Polytechnic college with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ST/BC/PwD) can also apply.

Yes, Symbiosis International Pune offers admission to BTech (Lateral Entry) programme. BTech in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, are lateral entry programme offered at SIU Pune. The programme is offered with a course duration of three years. The final merit list of selected candidates will be based on the scores obtained in the diploma. Aspirants need to pass Diploma Course/ Diploma in vocational course or Diploma in Vocational stream in the same or allied sector as per AICTE norms or a BSc degree with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for BTech (LE).

Yes, DPCOE offers a three-year BTech Lateral Entry course. Students can take direct admission to the second year of BTech through Lateral Entry. Admission to this course is strictly based on merit of the last qualifying exam of candidates, which is valid for Maharashtra candidates only. Students belonging from outside Maharashtra must visit the college for more details on the same.

Yes, Diploma holders in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering from an AICTE-approved institute can apply for lateral entry admission to BTech at HIMT College. They should have a minimum of 60% overall aggregate and a minimum of 50% aggregate in English at both Class 10 and Class 12 levels. The maximum age limit for this course is 26 years.

Yes, the university accepts lateral entry admissions. The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the Candidate, on the basis of which Diploma / Degree is awarded by the examining authority Provided that, in case of tie, the relative merit of different Candidatures shall be resolved in the following order of preference and the methodology
