While comparing ILS Law College for its BA LLB course, within the state of Maharashtra, the Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai, is ranked slightly higher or equals with ILS Pune because of its location. At the national level, modern tier-1 National Law Universities like NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, and NUJS Kolkata are ranked higher.

Taking admission in NMIMS BA LLB (Hons) admisison is moderately competitive. While getting into the main Mumbai campus (KPMSOL) requires a very high rank, the Hyderabad campus has slightly lower cutoff percentiles, which makes it less competitive with consistent preparation for the NMIMS-LAT or CLAT.

For NMIMS Hyderabad BA LLB (Hons) admission, NMIMS-LAT exam is less challenging as compared to CLAT. Because it contains no negative marking, the difficulty level is also lower than CLAT, though students will still need speed and accuracy to solve 150 questions in 120 minutes.
