The last date to fill out the PU-CET (PG) admission forms was July 02, 2025. PU-CET (PG) result 2025 was released on July 14, 2025. PU-CET (PG) 2025 answer key was released on June 30, 2025. The PU CET (PG) exam 2025 was conducted on 17-06-2025, 18-06-2025 & 19-06-2025. PU-CET (PG) admit card was released online. PU CET (PG) 2025 application form was released on April 23, 2025. The last date to fill the PU-CET (PG) application form 2025 was June 2, 2025.

 

June 06, 2025 is the deadline for submission of the printed form with prescribed supporting documents for claiming the exemption of Entrance Test Fee from SC/ST/PwD/PU Employee category to Assistant Registrar, CET Cell Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014, either by registered/speed post or in person.

The main centre for the entrance exam is Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur and Muktsar. 

Note: It should be noted that applying for the Entrance Test and taking the Test does not imply that a candidate will be granted admission. For admission to PU-CETPG based programmes which are being offered by different Department/Centre/Institute at Panjab University only, online Admission Form has to be submitted by the Candidate separately. The update of Availability of Online Admission Form will be provided later. Candidates are required to fill up and submit online Admission Form at http://onlineadmissions.puchd.ac.in before the last date of submission of online Admission Form even if the result of Entrance Test has not been declared by that time.

What is PU-CET(PG)?

PU-CET (PG) is an entrance exam for postgraduate programmes run by Panjab University, Chandigarh. Candidates are able to secure admission to  LLM, MCA, MA in Journalism & Mass Communication, MA, MTech, MSc, MSc (Hons), MCom, MCom (Hons), MBA, MPed, and BPed programmes. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must fill out an online application form available on the official website. The exam will be conducted in the paper-based test mode across various exam centres in Punjab.

PU CET (PG) examination is typically accepted to be an easy to moderately challenging level of exam, and has a commonly practiced format consisting mainly of objective type question which are MCQs. Duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes. When preparing for exam candidates are advised to complete full syllabus for their subject as well as to have correct study material.

Q:   Would I get admission on the basis of PU-CET (PG) results directly?
A: 

No, students who have appeared for the PU-CET (PG) exam, and cleared the cutoff, will be required to appear for the further admission process, which includes Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). They need to meet the cutoff criteria of the participating institutes to take admissions. Other factors such as academic record, work experience, etc. are also considered for admission to various institutes which accept PU-CET (PG) scores.

PU CET (PG) registration is an online process. The PU CET (PG) application forms 2025 were available online on the official website of PU CET (PG). Students can fill out the online application form until the last date. The PU CET (PG) exam application process includes the following steps:

  • Creating a new user profile by filling out the PU CET (PG) exam registration form with details such as name, date of birth, gender, email ID and phone number, etc.
  • Uploading the required documents in the prescribed format.
  • Filling out the PU CET (PG) application form with the necessary details such as category, test centres, institutions, etc.
  • Payment of the application fee via credit/debit card, internet banking or UPI.

Q:   What is the PU-CET (PG) application fee?

The PU-CET (PG) application fee is different for different categories. The application for PU-CET (PG) exam can be paid online as well as offline. The candidates can pay the application fee online using a credit card, debit card, internet-banking, UPI, etc. or offline through SBI Bank E-challan. Students can apply for multiple programmes in one application form. But they need to pay INR 710 for each additional course The application fee is as follows:

Q:   Can I apply for the PU-CET (PG) exam offline?
A: 

Students who wish to appear for the PU-CET (PG) exam can register themselves online. There is no provision of applying offline. They should follow the process mentioned below to register for the exam:

  • Go to the Panjab University website
  • Click on Register
  • Register with details such as name, phone number, email id and date of birth
  • Create a login ID and password
  • Pay the application fee via credit card, debit card, or internet banking
  • Upload a scanned copy of the photograph and signature
  • Check all the information filled and select save and confirm

The students can pay the application for the PU-CET exam online as well as offline.

PU-CET(PG) 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for PU-CET PG 2025 must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

Master of Business Administration for Executives

The minimum qualification for admission to the first semester of the course shall be:

(i) A Bachelor‘s degree in any discipline which has been recognised by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than 50% aggregate

  • In case of candidates have a Bachelor‘s degree in Modern Indian Languages (Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurmukhi Script) and/or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit/Persian/Arabic) from Panjab University or any other University recognised by the Syndicate, 50% aggregate will be calculated by taking into account the full percentage of marks in all the papers excluding the optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together, or
  • The candidates must have passed the final examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or England / Institute of Cost Accountants of India or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of England / Institute of Company Secretaries of India, or
  • The candidate holds a Diploma in Personnel Management and Labour Welfare or a Diploma in Marketing Management with not less than 60% aggregate

(ii) Executive experience of two years or above in a full-time job in a commercial or industrial establishment after having passed the qualifying examination as given above. Members of All India or State Administrative / Technical Services and Defence Personnel holding administrative positions with not less than two years of executive experience will also be eligible. Organisational sponsorship is essential. 

Master in Business Administration, Commerce and Information Technology

  • Candidate should hold BA /BSc / BCom or any other Graduation degree
  • Candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate from Panjab University or any other University recognised by the Syndicate

Note: Candidates willing to apply for MEFB (Master of Entrepreneurship and Family Business) can also hold either a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognised University. In addition to this, the candidate should have also passed the final examination conducted by: 

  • The Institute of Chartered Accounts of India
  • The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and
  • The Institute of Company Secretaries of India

Candidates willing to appear for PU-CET (PG) 2025 need to fill PU-CET(PG) application form 2025 and submit the required documents. Take a look at the table below to know the PU-CET (PG) application fee.

  • PU-CET (PG) 2025 Admit Card

Registered candidates will be able to download the PU-CET (PG) 2025 admit card from the official website of Panjab University. This is an important document to be carried to the examination hall. The admit cards will be made available at least a week before the date of the examination.

  • PU-CET (PG) 2025 Exam

Once the aspirant registers successfully for the exam and receives the admit card, he/she needs to appear for the exam. The test duration will be 1 hour and 30 minutes for all three programmes.

  • PU-CET (PG) 2025 Result

 PU-CET (PG) 2025 results are generally declared within a month from the date of examination. Candidates can view their scorecards online by entering their registration numbers. Candidates who clear the exam will make it to the merit list prepared by the admission authorities. 

  • PU-CET (PG) 2025 Counselling

Once the results are declared, PU-CET (PG) 2025 counselling round will be conducted by the University where candidates are required to be present in person with all the required documents.

Q:   How many questions are there in the PU-CET PG question paper?
A: 

Number of questions in the PU CET PG question paper can be different for different subjects. The questions are in the multiple choice format and each course has different number of questions. Each question carries one mark and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. 

There are four choices for each question in the PU CET (PG) exam and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. 

Q:   How many sections are there in the PU-CET (PG) exam?
A: 

There will be a total of five sections, i.e. General Knowledge, Economics and Business Environment Awareness, Data Interpretation and Provlem Solving, Numerical Ability, Verbal Ability/ Reasoning and English Comprehension. Each question in all these sections will carry one mark each with four choices.
