Government-owned as well as state universities are usually the cheapest options of pursuing your BBA LLB as a student. The institutions such as Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi have very low fees (approximately INR 52,000 over the whole course). The University of Mumbai (costing approximately INR 2 Lakhs) and some National Law Universities (NLUs) like NLU Odisha and CNLU Patna are other cheap alternatives, although neither of them are as cheaper as the state universities, NLU Odisha and CNLU Patna being slightly more expensive, with the total amount of fees being approximately INR 6 Lakhs.

For BA LLB (Hons) at Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, the admission norms primarily involve appearing for the CUET UG (Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate) exam. You need to have passed your 10+2 examination from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate percentage, typically around forty-five percent for General/OBC candidates, and a relaxation for SC/ST/PWD categories. Your admission will be based on your performance in the CUET UG, followed by the university's counselling process.

No, it is generally not necessary to have studied Political Science in 12th standard to pursue BA LLB in India. Most universities and law schools require a 10+2 qualification from any stream. However, having a background in Political Science, Economics, History, or English can be beneficial as these subjects often align with the BA LLB curriculum. For entrance exams like CLAT or LSAT, general knowledge, legal aptitude, and English are crucial, not specific 12th-grade subjects.

Children Welfare Centre Law College mainly accepts students in its BA LLB courses in Maharastra Common Entrance Test (MHCET Law). Some private colleges may include the management quota although in the case of CWC law college the management quota is not clearly given. A valid MHCET Law score is usually a qualification criterion even in case it is availed. The admission procedure embraces the passage of MHCET Law, usage of the centralized admission method (CAP rounds), verification of documents, and lastly allotment of the seats on the foundation of goodness and availability. It is not probable that one can get direct admission in BA LLB

St. Xavier University, Kolkata, is a relatively recent institution, which began Xavier Law School (XLS) integrated law (BA LLB and B.Com LLB) programs in 2017/2019. The internships and placements are well promoted through the placement cell of the university; though the initial batches have just passed out or are still to do so. With a 100 percent placement record in different law firms and to individual advocates during summer internship, it is said that students are well connected in the industry so that they get a feel of working at the internship level. Legal consultant, litigation, judiciary and associates of legal firms are some

In Punjab, a few colleges offer law courses without any entrance exam:

Army Institute of Law (Mohali) – Some seats (civil category) filled via 12th marks without entrance.

Punjabi University (Patiala) – Offers BA LLB admissions based on Class 12 merit.

Most other law colleges (e.g., Panjab University, RGNUL) require entrance exams.
