To get a seat at the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, students have to first appear in the CLAT entrance exam and then participate in its counselling process. The cutoff gets released in the form of opening and closing ranks for the BA LLB (Hons) course and LLM and its various specialisations. 

The NLU Patiala CLAT Cutoff 2026 was released for several All India and Home State quota categories, like General, SC, ST, EWS and OBC.

NLU Lucknow cutoff 2026 was released for admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses based on the students' performance in the CLAT entrance exam. 

Students can refer to the table below to know the cutoff range for the LLM course for different All India categories.

The maximum rank needed to get a seat at NLU Patiala for the LLM course depends on the category you belong to. 

For the General AI category, the maximum rank accepted was 1083 for the LLM course and its various specialisations. On the other hand, for the SC AI category, the highest rank admissible was 4386

For the ST and PWD AI categories, the maximum ranks were 7423 and 8927, respectively. For more information, click here.

The highest package for LLM is not out yet. However, the median package recorded during BBAU LLM placements 2025 was INR 7.62 LPA. The table below provides the median package recorded in the past years at BBAU:

The KLEE application fee for the LLM programme is INR 900 for general categories, and INR 450/- for the reserved categories.

An LLM right after LLB is only a good option for academic or research purposes. If you want to make a career in pure litigation then you should gain some real world experience first.

No, students cannot join IIM Hyderabad, because there is no IIM in Hyderabad. The nearest IIM is IIM Visakhapatnam. However, to get admission in IIM for MBA programmes, students generally require valid CAT score.

To get admisison in Parul Institute of Law LLM, students must meet the eligibility and selection requirement. Candidate must pass three years unitary programme of LLB or five year Integrated Law Degree from institutions where the mode of study is a full time programme with minimum 45% of marks in aggregate. The final selection is based on academic scores. Students can apply online for LLM admission.
