Hi,
Most of the aspirants prefer to make law as their profession and become lawyer. There is opportunity for LLB graduates as lawyers in state and central government. The aspirants can be placed as attorney generals, judges, public prosecutor, etc. One can find opportunities in Defense, Tax, and Labor departments.
The candidates can also work as legal advisors for organizations, firms, and families. Apart from being lawyers, the graduates can work in banks, business houses, legal consultancies, educational institutes, news papers, news channels, sales and excise departments. Another scope for candidates after LLB is to complete LLM and join as lecturer in any private or government institute. There are many institutions in India where the candidates can find large opportunities.
Teaching Profession-
Most hold graduate law degrees or postgraduate degrees in related fields. Work experience as a court clerk and a practicing attorney are also necessary to land a position as a law teacher.
Like other types of college-level teachers, law teachers instruct students, perform research and produce scholarly articles and books. Additionally, law teachers are expected to contribute their training to the field, such as by doing consulting work and serving in organizations related to the legal profession.

After LLM, you may go for practice and a Doctorate degree will also serve your purpose well.

The Master of Law degree course prepares graduates at the postgraduate level in legal principles, law, justice and governance while building in them strong research acumen and subject matter expertise in Constitutional and Administrative Law as well as Corporate and Commercial Law. The pedagogy and learning delivery includes classroom training based on seminars, workshops and research-centric discussions on law.
Duration : Full time; One year

• Each credit is equivalent to 15 classroom contact hours and includes practical training classes.
• Alongside classroom hours, a student may also be allotted practical exercises as a part of the curriculum.
• For the award of the degree of LL.M., a student has to successfully complete ten subjects, or be equivalent of 40 credits respectively.
Eligibility :
• LL. B./B. L. or any other graduate degree in Law recognized by Bar Council of India with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST candidates).
Selection Criteria :
• A high score in ACLAT*
• Personal Interview
