Eligibility: - Any Group in Plus Two / XII (OR) Equivalent Examination (Girls are also admitted).
The applicants who have passed the following examination should submit an eligibility certificate from the University of Madras.
a) Higher Secondary or equivalent examination conducted by all other State Boards except Tamil Nadu.
b) All degree (UG/PG) examinations conducted by any university other than University of Madras / foreign countries.

The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing BA (Honors) Economics degree is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board of the country. Some universities and colleges give preference to students who have studied Economics as a subject at 10+2 level.
