Total amount of scholarship is not available as per official website. It is provided to 5% of new students every year. Scholarship provided can be full or partial. Every student who has taken fresh admission is eligible to apply. Selection is done by University. It also depends upon academic performance and financial needs of a student. Scholarship form is submitted offline in hard-copy. Documents like income certificate, etc. are to be attached with the form.

Scholarship is provided to 5% of total new students every year. However, there is no course specific scholarship as per official website. All new students are eligible to apply for scholarships. Selection depends on academic performance and financial needs of a student. Documents such as Income proof, etc. have to be submitted along with scholarship form. The university selects students for scholarship.

As per Shiksha reviews, the institute rating is 3.6/5. It offers over 12 specialisations in MDes. Admissions are based on Phase I & II selection process. The institute conducts placement drives every year for PG students. Additionally, it has multiple tie-ups with companies present globally. It helps students getting more exposure and opportunities in research or internships as well.

There are over 25 subjects in the course. Number of subjects vary as per the specialisation chosen by student. However, the highest number of subjects are taught in first semester. A graduation project is part of fourth semester. It is mandatory for all students to complete it. Apart from core subjects, there are multiple research opportunities as well.

The structure of programme is divided in four-semesters. Multiple theory and practical subjects are included. Each semester includes different number of subjects. Core subjects can vary as per the specialisations. There is a compulsory Graduation Project as well in last year syllabus. The curriculum focuses on practical learnings as well as academic learnings.

The curriculum is divided in two-years and four semesters. Each semester consists of different subjects. Core subjects in each specialisation is different. However, some common subjects are there in first semester. Such as Design overview, etc. A Graduation project has to be submitted by fourth semester students.

As per official website, there is no bifurcation of State and All India Quota. However, seat reservation is only for Maharashtra applicants. All applicants outside Maharashtra are considered in General category. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC is up to 50%. For EWS category, and additional 10% reservation is there. Moreover, 5% seats are reserved for children of Service Personnel.

MITID offers over 150 seats in MDes. However, exact number of seats in each course is not available. Seats are allotted based on merit score of Phase I and II. There is a seat reservation as well. Seat reservation may vary and is as per Maharashtra government norms. For SC/ST/OBC, up to 50% seats can be reserved. 10% reservation is for EWS and 5% for Service Personnel children.

Yes, there is a reservation of seats in MITID. Up to 50% of seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC categories. However, this is as per State Government norms and subject to vary. Additionally, there is 10% reservation for EWS category. Children of Service Personnel who are domiciled in Maharashtra are given 5% reservation.

The selection process is divided in two phases. Phase I is submission of Portfolio and SOP. Application form starts from October. Applicants should submit form before February last week. Fee is INR 3,000. Based on these, students are selected for Phase II. For next phase, all selected applicants have to report to MIT Institute of Design campus in Pune. Next phase includes a Studio Test and Personal Interview. The university selects students based on performance of both phases.
