Yes, the candidates pursuing MDes from UID have to complete an industry internship in the last year of the course. This internship is included in the course curriculum to ensure that candidates gain field experience. Apart from this, a project also has to be submitted to the institute.

Candidates can get enrolled to a MDes course of UID Ahmedavad, Karnavati University if they meet eligibility requirements and perform well in selection rounds. The aspirants with a valid BDes or equivalent degree passed with at least 50% aggregate can apply. Aspirants can access the application form in both online and offline modes.
The applicants have to then appear for the UID Design Aptitude Test. Candidates shortlisted based on exam scores are called for the situation test and portfolio evaluation. The admission process is ongoing at UID Ahmedabad for the MDes course. It generally begins with the release of UID DAT exam registrations. The UID DAT 2025 exam is scheduled on Jan 25.
