Both SPA Delhi and Vishwakarma University are good options to pursue MDes. However, in terms of affordability, SPA Delhi is more affordable since the tuition fees to pursue MDes at SPA Delhi is INR 1.8 lakh, and the tuition fee to pursue MDes at Vishwakarma University is INR 7.5 lakh.

In order to determine which is a better choice, students must weigh both options based on important factors such as fees and median package. As per official sources, the tuition fees to pursue an MDes at SPA Delhi and The Design Village are INR 1.8 Lacs and INR 12.5 lakh, respectively. In terms of fees, SPA Delhi is a better choice.
Moreover, as per the placement page on Shiksha, the median packages offered to MDes students at SPA Delhi and The Design Village stood at INR 6.75 LPA and INR 6 LPA, respectively. In terms of placements, MDes at SPA Delhi is a better choice.

As per the SPA Delhi NIRF 2024 report, a total of 157 PG (2-year) students were placed during the placement drive held in 2023. Other than this, the report states that the median package offered to overall PG (2-year) students stood at INR 6.75 LPA. Moreover, some of the top recruiters who have participated in the past years placements included Ernst & Young, WSP India, Honda Motor Company, etc.

Yes, SPA Delhi does follow a reservation policy for MDes admissions. As per the policy, a total of 17 seats are reserved for the admission of candidates belonging to the reserved categories. Tabulated below is the complete breakdown of the SPA Delhi reservation policy for MDes program

SPA Delhi MDes admission process starts with the application process. Students seeking admission must submit an online application form. The fee to apply for the MDes programme is INR 2,500.
After completion of the application stage, the admission committee constitutes a rank list based on students' scores in the CEED examination. Based on this list, students are shortlisted. Students who are offered admissions must report to the institute for verification of documents and payment of fees. Successful fee payment completes the MDes admission process.

For allocation of SPA Delhi MDes seats, the institute takes the rules of reservation into consideration. As per the SPA Delhi reservation policy, a total of 6 seats are reserved for the admission of SC/ST category students. Out of the 06 seats, 02 seats are reserved for the admission of ST category students, and 04 seats are reserved for students belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.

SPA Delhi offers an MDes course with a single specialisation, Industrial Design. Under this course, the institute offers around 29 seats. These seats are subject to students performance in CEED. However, the institute also considers rules of reservation while allocating the MDes seats. Moreover, students must note that this seat intake is as per official sources.
