M.Pharma and Ph.D programmes are based on the score of the NIPER JEE Entrance exam. The minimum cut off for M.Pharm at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Guwahati is 60 aggregate for taking admission. The are various entrance exams like GATE/MS which are also accepted in NIPER Guwahati.

The Placements at NIPER Guwahati is quite good. The median package offered to M.Pharma students are around INR 5-6.5 Lakh per annum. The institute has NIRF Ranking 2023 at 12th position with an excellent Placement Record of 60.37% male students and 39.63% female students. The exemplary students get opportunities in GSK, Cipla, Glenmark, VIATRIS, MACLEODS, NOVO NORDISK and many more pharmaceutical global giants.
