A GAT-B (Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology) exam is typically required for admission to Punjab Agricultural University's (PAU) M.Sc. program in biotechnology. Exam fees, tuition, and other university expenses are normally included in the cost structure for PAU's M.Sc. Biotechnology program. The annual tuition price typically varies from INR 50,000 to INR 80,000, based on the year's circumstances and extra expenses. Scholarships and fee waivers may be awarded to deserving students or those who meet certain requirements through GAT-B.

If your four-year integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. programme includes relevant disciplines like biology, biotechnology, or related fields, then you can absolutely pursue an M.Sc. in biotechnology. Universities have different standards for admission, therefore you might have to fulfill prerequisites like minimum grade requirements or entrance examinations. Examine the prerequisites for admission to the colleges you are considering. Gaining more experience in biotechnology-related fields will also improve your application.

The main difference between Biotechnology and Bioinformatics is that the former uses technology to study biological science, while the latter uses genetic engineering to create pharmaceutical drugs, transgenic plants and animals, vaccines, and recombination proteins.

However, they are engaged in both research and the production of these innovations. In contrast, bioinformatics is concerned with information technology and biological sciences. DNA sequencing is one of these; bio-bioinformatics also involves the use of software tools for protein modeling and drug design.
