No, it is not possible to take admission in M.Sc full time and not attend the mandatory classes as in full time programme there is a max attendance requirement for the student.

Yes, you can appear for UGC NET AFTER M.Sc. fashion designing and merchandising only if you qualify the ELIGIBILITY criteria
1 postgraduate degree required.
2 subject relevance in home science, visual arts, management, fine arts, as it doesn't have fashion design.

Admission is on the basis of the SOA Admission Test (SAAT); national-level entrance exams such as NEET or CUET are not necessary for this course. The course lasts for two years (four semesters), and the annual tuition fee is around INR 85,000, taking the overall programme fee to around INR 1.7 lakh. The final merit list is determined by giving 70% weightage to the written test and 30% to the viva. You need to have a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. in relevant fields) to be eligible.
