Though the institute is only autonomous academically it is still affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University. Further the college is highly reputable for its BTech CSE programme being AICTE approved and NBA accredited.

UNCC usually provided two intakes for the admissions that are fall and spring intakes. The priority admission deadlines are closed for the fall semester but available for final admission dates and spring intakes.

The total tuition fees for Integrated MSc is INR 12.9 Lacs - INR 25.9 lakh. The fees is higher for Biological Sciences, Physics, Economics, Mathematics specialisations. Aspirants shortlisted for admission have to pay the course fees to confirm their seat.
