M.Sc.

With myriad reasons to choose an M.Sc., the choice needs to be made more on your needs rather than the college you want to focus on. What would you like to do with a Masters? Do you want to pursue higher education or is it just a buffer period where you want to spend two years thinking of what exactly you wish to go for? Or, are you preparing for some exam like SSC, UPSC Civil Services or CAT and you want this period to be denoted by the fact that you are pursuing something and not just dropping a year? If that is your choice, then - DU - For the preparation of Exams and all. JNU - Similar situation as DU, except if you want to involve yourself more in academic pursuits. IITs - It is mostly for higher education and if you are serious about Research, then only go for it otherwise, you would be a misfit here and be left out in the jungle of mad people with less social interaction.
