The eligibility for M.SC Microbiology is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Bachelor's Degree (Applied Medical Science or Medical Science and Allied Medical or Agriculture or Biosciences or Food Science or Medical Lab. Technology or Life Sciences or Veterinary Microbiology and Parasitology or Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology or Clinical Chemistry or Public Health and Allied Sciences or Plant Science) or equivalent.

Candidate should note that for admission to Masters degree programmes through entrance examination conducted by NTA, only the candidates having passed graduation with four/six (10+6 B.Sc. Ag. )/five years (B. V. Sc. & AH) degree programme from any public funded/government. institution will be eligible. Candidates passed out from private Agricultural Universities/Colleges not accredited by ICAR, even though affiliated to public funded/government. are not eligible for admission through this examination. Only those candidates from Private Agricultural Universities/Colleges (accredited by ICAR) are eligible to appear in the
examination who have completed their degree in programmes accredited by ICAR. Further the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC, UPS and EWS categories whereas for SC/ST/PwD categories the requirement is 50% marks. So you can be eligible if meeting the above criteria.

Eligibility criteria: B.Sc Degree with Life Sciences (Biology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Zoology / Botany / Human Genetics / Microbiology & Applied Microbiology, Plant Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, Environmental Biotechnology, Genetic Technology, Genetic Engineering, Environmental Science, Medical Microbiology, Plant Science, Nano Biotechnology, Nutrition & Food Technology, B.Voc Food Processing Technology / B.Sc. Agriculture / B.Sc. Biological Techniques & Specimen Preparation / Chemistry / Biomedical Science.
The Entrance Tests are conducted here for Two PG Courses i.e. MSW (Social Work) & MA (Journalism and Mass Communication). Admission for these courses are done based on entrance scores and UG percentage of marks. For other courses there are no entrance tests, admission is based on the marks obtained in qualifying examination.
So from above there is no entrance exam for admission in M.Sc. Biotechnology at PSGCAS.
