Yes the placements are decent about 30% batch does get placed . With the highest package being INR 15-20 LPA. If you're really interested in the course then only go for it. The course is really good. But the placement for the given branch is not very high. You can be placed if you have skills.

If you're opting for B.Tech after completion of polytechnic then your 12th marks won't matter, but yes your polytechnic CGPA matters a lot. But, it is also important to get at least 50% in 12th for scholarship purposes.

NIT Trichy offers various specialisations under its MTech programme. Some of the specialisations are Mtech in Data Analytics, Environmental Engineering, and more. For all the specialisations, the institute offers an equal number of seats, i.e., 28. Combining all, the institute offers 658 seats for the MTech programme.

As per the NIT Trichy NIRF report 2024, the 2023 median package for MTech courses stood at INR 10 LPA. Other than this, as sources across the web, the highest package offered during placement drive 2023 stood at INR 52.89 LPA. To know which was the toughest specialisation to get into, one requires to know the cutoff details. As per the IITDM MTech cutoff 2024, MTech in Robotics and Automation stood as the most competitive exam. The last round GATE score for this course stood at 359. It was also observed that MTech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and MTech in Drones and IoT stood as the least competitive branches of all with a closing score of 372.
