For admission to a two-year M.Tech course at MIT Manipal, there is minimum eligibility criteria that is required to fulfil by every aspirant. Those who meet the GATE requirements may apply to the M.Tech program. For non-GATE students, admission will be determined by KIITEE score, with counseling to follow. Those who meet the GATE qualifying requirements and score 400 or higher are exempt from taking the entrance exam. The M.Tech programme costs INR 5.43 Lacs in total.

Students wishing to apply for hostel have to pay an additional amount. NIT Durgapur does have mess service for which students need to pay a separate charge. The hostel fee for M.Tech students is INR 36,600. Students also have to pay a caution money for hostel service. Apart from the hostel charges, the tuition fee for M.Tech is INR 1.40 lakh.
