The minimum cutoff for M.Tech at SMVDU for any discipline is AIR 400 in GATE.
To get the most preferred CSE branch one should be in top 300.
The other branches like ECE has a cutoff of AIR 350 and Mechanical and Energy Systems has a cutoff of AIR 400.
Overall one should aim for a rank like 300-400 to get a seat at SMVDU.

A total of 653 seats are available for M.Tech at IISC Bangalore. However, majority of setas are reserved for Division of Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science (EECS), Indian Institute of Science, i.e., 85. For detailed, students can check the table presented below:

If you're from the General category, you need at least 85 percentile to be on the safe side, that is 90+ marks overall. Computer Science and Engineering has a cutoff of around 50k. Admission to the M.Tech program at MIT Chennai is based on the TANCET or GATE exam, and the cutoff marks vary each year based on factors such as the number of applicants, their scores, and seat availability.

- The Candidate should be an Indian National.
- Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
