Hi Sakshi,I hope everything is alright. I went through you question. You did B.Tech in ENTC. You want to apply either for MS or for M.Tech. The fact I want to clear is, while you will apply for MS you cannot continue with your branch. As, in MS ENTC is not a valid branch, they only accept core branches like mechanical, CS, electrical. So, if you want to apply for MS, you have to change your branch. So, to apply for MS you have to give GRE entrance exam. GRE stands for Graduate Record Examination. It is a standardized eligibility test created and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS). This test needs to be cleared in order to get admission in most of the graduate schools in USA. This entrance exam is basically to test your verbal and quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills. Whereas, if we talk about M.Tech, you can carry on with your branch in M.Tech. For applying M.Tech, you have to give entrance exam i.e. GATE. If you are well settled, and your financial condition is pretty strong, I would recommend you to go for MS. As MS is having much scope in foreign, as well as India. Whereas, M.Tech lags behind MS.
