Both are unique and great in their own ways; what matters more is your interests and career goals. If technical field suits you more, then opt for M Tech. Else, choose MBA if you want to make a career in the management sector. Talk to those who have pursued these degrees for more better insights.

No, you cannot. The eligibility to appear for GATE for a B.Sc student is to have an M.Sc degree.
Only BE/B.Tech and B.Arch students are directly eligible without post graduate degree.
