Hi, IIT Madras is known as one of the best college.if you wish to go abroad for higher studies after M.tech, I would strongly recommend you to join IIT Madras. It has a really great brand name among IITs across the world and the chemical engineering department here has professors known worldwide in their field.If you are aiming for placements, I won't recommend you to join IIT Madras.

Everyone thinks that only structural engineers are getting jobs but it is not true. The water resources engineers generally work in project related to GPS and GIS system. Geotechnical engineers are employed in various project related to foundation, dam earthquake, etc. Even these guys are paid more than structural engineers.

It's very nice to know about your dreams of doing PG in Canada even many years after you have completed your graduation.
