Candidates applying for BE are required to pass HSc or its equivalent examination. The minimum aggregate required in Class 12 is 45% for BE. Hence, aspirants with 60% in Class 12 can apply provided they also hold a valid score in MHT CET or JEE Main for admission. There is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only.

BVCOE Mumbai admissions are entrance-based. Aspirants need to pass MHT CET or JEE Main for BE and GATE for ME programmes. Once the results are out, aspirants have to register for CAP conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. Candidates are offered seats based on their entrance exam rank. Once the seat is allotted, candidates need to report at the campus for document verification and fee payment. In case of vacant seats, students are offered admission in Spot Round.

Such candidates need to pass HSC or its equivalent examination in relevant subjects with at least 40% aggregate for BE programme. For ME, aspirants from Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State should complete graduation with at least 45% aggregate.

The seats are offered to candidates through various CAP rounds. In case of vacant seats after CAP, students can register for institute-level Spot Round. The remaining seats are offered to aspirants through the Spot Round. There is a separate application form for Spot Counselling.
