You can refer to the below books for preparation of the exam:
1. Arihant's Guide for Mass Communication Entrance Exam
2. Manorama Yearbook
3. Keval J Kumar's Mass Communication in India
Apart from these books, you should also read newspapers daily including The Hindu and The Economic Times.

Sandip University is a decent option. I would rather refer you colleges located in Pune such as MIT, Indira, and Balaji for better placements.
