Generally speaking COEP blows SPCE out of the water. COEP is much well-known and trusted among recruiters as compared to MIT. Last time COEP had around 83.8 % placements for mechanical (this number seems less as the students who didn't accept the offers are also included) and the average salary was around 6-7 LPA for mechanical department which is more compared to SPCE.

Even though PICT was founded specially for degree courses related to computer science it still lags behind COEP. COEP has better facilities and is more trusted among the recruiters than PICT. 1. VJTI has a lot better reputation in comparison to SPCE, Mumbai for excellence in academics all over the state.
2. The college has the best faculty in mechanical branch than any other college in the state.
