After the completion of the course and 6 months of sea service, one will be able to get the Class 4 Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency. Educational Qualifications-
B.E./B.Tech. Degree holders in Mechanical or Naval Architecture branches are eligible to pursue this course. Minimum marks criteria may exist, in case of some Institutes. And it varies from one Institute to another! Generally, it is between 50-60% marks in the final year of B.E./B.Tech. Program.
