First, figure out your interest and priority. Filmmaking is a career wherein the success comes much later in life. A lot of hard work and patience is required to have a career in filmmaking. There is no financial security or guarantee in this field. Graphic design, on the other hand, gives you a constant career with the constant financial flow.

I believe you are looking for tips on preparation for IIMC (Indian Institute of Mass Communication) entrance exam. For the same, I would say that a comprehensive plan in studies will help you reach your target. The time table for the study plan should be in tune with your daily needs and schedule. As far as the preparation is concerned, I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday at reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. And for GK, you can refer Competition Success Review for updates on current affairs. A fair and frank observation about the placements is that BJMC only takes one to the entry-level jobs in the mass media field. The job offers in the media field are low and Amity, Lucknow takes you away from the centre of media that is Delhi. However, there are good efforts but a Bachelor's degree cannot fetch jobs to all students.

1. Encyclopedia of Advertising and Public Relations.
2. Any book related to Journalism and Mass Communication. I recommend Arihant but the book has wrong answer keys.
3. Brand Equity supplement, comes in The Economic Times every Friday (I think)
