Yes, you can pursue BJMC. if you are interested in event management as event management is a sub field of mass communication. Moreover, you can also pursue a specialisation course in precisely event management after completing BJMC.

Pros: It's definitely exciting to meet up with a lot of people. Especially for extroverts. It's a vibrant field wherein so many operational challenges need to be solved. So, no shortage of excitement. Helps you to make new connections. Event management can take you places. After all, getting exposure to new places is so much fun. You will have to be constantly on your toes thinking about what new concept/format to apply to entice the audience, and engage the audience. Remember, creative juices flow all the time. Event management as a field has become crowded with much small-time amateur young people also getting into it, plus it is not a structured industry kind of set up. It seems it does not even need an MBA kind of qualification Since many short term courses are available in this field. However, if you choose some specific kinds of events (marriages, corporate events) there will be much less competition. I Would prefer NAEMD. Their connections are good actually.
