Diploma is a good option after class 10th, but after class 12th, one must do graduation instead of doing Diploma. Graduation is important for good profile in jobs. So, better to get admission in B.Tech after class 12th rather than after (12th + Diploma). Even B.Sc is far better than doing Diploma after class 12th.

Generally, inter transfer are possible in the Colleges affiliated with same University. However, you can follow the below procedure for lateral admission:
1. Take permission from the authorities of the university in which you study currently.
2. If they say yes, then take permission from the university in which you intend to join.
3. If they say yes, then you need to take the following documents out from the current college. (a) Your last result (b) Your transfer certificate (c) Your character certificate
Pay the requisites in both the colleges and get the admission.
