You need to pursue a course in Journalism - preferably graduation and post graduation both, as it gives you a better insight into the subject. Some of the best colleges to pursue journalism from are as follows:

No criteria, per say. But yes, generally media houses are on a lookout of students who are studying journalism. Students pursuing graduation/post graduation in English/Hindi are also preferred. But if you have nose for news and command over your language, irrespective of the subject you're studying, media houses welcome you aboard as an intern.

You should go for JIMS. This college has good placements, qualified faculties, good infrastructure and all. Students get more practical exposure as accordingly to market demand. this college engage the students in academic as well as other co-curricular activities for the overall development. one more thing before choosing any campus, you should visit first and try to explore the lab facilities in all campuses where you wish to take the admission.

Nose for news is the most important requirement to go ahead with Journalism and Mass Communication as a career. Good communication skills, writing skills, ideation and confidence follow. And rest, there are innumerable things that you'll learn while studying journalism and even on job.

There's no better way to improve communication skills than reading. Read newspapers, magazines, online news portals, novels - fiction/non-fiction - and you will be able to improve your vocabulary and grammar. Once the vocab and grammar is in place, start speaking in that language (English/Hindi-whichever language you're aiming for here). You might be hesitant at the start, but isn't that how each one us start learning how to speak? :)

Hi, Vlogging is the next big thing in India. In fact, already close to being the next being thing. With social media and internet controlling our daily lives and TV taking a back seat, Vlogs giving genuine reviews/creating innovative content have made way into our lives. In fact, Vlogging can be pursued as a side business along with any main stream profession that you might like to stick with. This being said, full-time Vlogging is definitely a career option.

Hi, I wouldn't really suggest a distance learning course in Print & TV journalism - because it wouldn't give you the desired practical knowledge, which is a must. Journalists aren't paid really well - so if you're expecting engineer/doctor-like salaries, this isn't for you. But that being said, you'll be able to have a decent living with the remuneration they're given.

I do not very much suggest this as distance education cannot be hands-on and practical. However, if you are already working and do not have time for full time course, and need the degree for the sake of promotion etc. , then fine. In any case, at least go for either full time or a blended one with distance and face to face combined.

There are many jobs available in different fields of Mass comm. but it depends on you. That in which field you want to go. Because there are specific field in Mass Com, choose and think in what kind of work you are good. Writing, speaking etc. And choose accordingly. Print Media, Electronic or Online Media.

No, Mass Communication is not necessary. You can do any Diploma or a part time course for this, otherwise Training and internship in any advertising company will also work.
