Hi Anshika,
For becoming a media studies lecturer after pursuing BJMC I would suggest you to go first with a PG course. You must pursue any Masters degree for becoming a lecturer. You can go with MJMC.

Hi Ayushi, It only depends on your area of interest. Here's some information that might help you : There are so many individuals who have interest in storytelling, audio-video, blogging & web content writing and most importantly interacting with more and more people in the world. Such kind of individuals should opt for this course as this course may fulfill their desire and passion as well. The one who opt for B.J. M. C course should have critical thinking ability, analytical skills, interpretation skills, good communication skills and convincing power ability also.

Hi Vivek,
Earlier, mass communication and journalism were separated, now they come under the same roof. Now, journalism is being considered as one of the fields in mass communication. Some colleges provide it as BMC and some as BJMC, there's no difference. In journalism, you need to communicate with mass with all your gathered news, case study, analysation. So, it's a unit of mass communication. Mass communication is not only with creativity, we need to study a lot with the concept we want to present. Like one of the examples is filmmaking which needs creativity plus knowledge, information and deep analyzation.

As per my knowledge, there is no hostel facility in Vivekananda College though there must be a PG or private hostel near the college. You can go and have a look once.
