Mother Teresa Women's University is recognised and approved by UGC and is Accredited with an 'A' Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a CGPA of 3.1. It is the only Women’s University of Tamil Nadu State Government. The university was established in 1984.
There are various UG and PG courses available and many colleges are affiliated to this university.
The fees range between INR 10,000 to INR 30,000 according to the course.
