Different institutions providing the same MBA programs may have different requirements for admission. However, the Universities Grants Commission has established the following basic qualifying requirements for MBA programs:

• Candidates completing a bachelor's level test from a recognised institution, in any discipline, are qualified to enroll in an MBA degree program.
• For candidates in the unreserved category, an institute may require a qualifying exam aggregate score of 50 percent, and for those in the reserved category, a qualifying exam aggregate score of 45 percent.
• Candidates in their final year may also apply for an MBA programme as long as they complete the prerequisite requirements listed above.
