Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme offered at UPES Dehradun must appear for the national/ state or University level entrance examination. Class 12 marks are just the requirement but not the sole criteria for admission. Candidates are further required to appear for the GDPI round as the part of the UPES Dehradun MBA admission process.

Yes, AIET admission to MBA is entrance-based. The college admits students based on scores of national/ state-level entrance exam. Aspirants must qualify for either PGCET/ KMAT/ CAT/ MAT entrance exams. Further, they also need to appear for PI round to get admission.

Candidates selected based on their entrance exam score are further called for a personal interview round. Aspirants also need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for MBA admission. The college accepts scores from the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) for admission to the MBA program. Specifically, the search results state that "For MBA, admission will be granted on the basis of TANCET / MAT / CET."

The cutoff for NIMS MBA admission for the 2023 batch is at least 70 to 80+ percentile in any MBA entrance exams plus 50%+ in graduation.

70+ percentile on the CAT

550+ in the MAT exam

XAT exam: greater than 80 percentile

For the ATMA test, a 180+ rating

A CMAT score of 140 or higher
