Candidates who have been allotted a seat for MBA at NIST through OJEE counselling must report at the campus for document verification. They must carry the following original documents along with a set of photocopies:
1. OJEE Final Allotment Letter
2. College Leaving/Transfer Certificate
3. Conduct Certificate/Character Certificate
4. OJEE Rank Card
5. Aadhaar Card
6. Class 10 Mark Sheet
7. Class 10 Pass Certificate
8. Graduation/Degree Final Mark Sheet
9. Graduation/Degree Pass Certificate
10. Residence Certificate (only for Odisha candidates)
11. Caste Certificate (SC/ST)
12. Category Certificate (Green Card/PC/Ex-Serviceman/EWS)

NIST MBA admission is entrance-based. Admission is provided to the applicants who have a valid score in one of the accepted entrance exams. These exams include OJEE, MAT, CAT and XAT. Aspirants must apply and appear for one of these exams. Additionally, they submit the NIST application form for MBA admission. 70% of the total seats are filled through OJEE counselling. 15% of the total seats are filled through other accepted exams. Shortlisted candidates must report at the NIST campus for document verification. After document verification, candidates must confirm their admission by submitting the specifed MBA fees.

To fill an online application form they are required to visit the official website of the institute and fill the application form. For offline application, candidates need to visit the campus of the institute & submit the hard copy of the application form. KJ Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM) admission to MBA is based on CAT, CMAT, MAT, XAT scores. For MBA Sports Management, the institute may also considers CUET-PG scores. Besides, candidates must have completed their bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate for admission. Selected aspirants are further called for WAT followed by a PI round.
