Candidates with a valid bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university and a minimum of 50% aggregate are eligible for admission to the course. The applications of only the eligible candidates are considered during the admission process. At the time of application form filling and admission confirmation, the UG degree and mark sheets have to be provided along with other important documents for verification purposes.

The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing Masters degree in Business Administration at PUMBA is possession of undergraduate degree with minimum 50 percent in any discipline from any recognised college. Students aspiring to pursue MBA at PUMBA should appear for common aptitude test (CAT), CMAT or MH- CET. On the basis of cutoffs, students get admitted followed up by counselling process.

The eligibility requirements for GNIOT's MBA programme are as follows: - Candidates must have Bachelor degree in any discipline recognized by UGC in 10+2+3 system with minimum 50% marks. - Final year candidates can also apply if they complete all the examination formalities by July 30th and provide proof that they meet the minimum requirements by September 30th. - Candidates must appear in CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT/ATMA and submit score card.

Formerly known as the Training Ship Chanakya, Indian Maritime University (IMU), Navi Mumbai got its current name in 2017. However, the training academy had received IMU's status earlier in 2008. It is the first pre-sea training institution in India. The University is UGC-approved and is governed by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. The training programmes at IMU Navi Mumbai are designed to inculcate officer-like qualities and a high sense of discipline amongst the cadets/students.
