MBA Eligibility

There are approximately 1,400+ MAT-accepting colleges in India. Of these, 998 are privately owned, 118 colleges are owned by public/government organisations and the rest 7 colleges are owned by public-private entities. MAT is one of the most accepting entrance exams in top MBA colleges in India. Different institutions providing the same MBA programs may have different requirements for admission. However, the Universities Grants Commission has established the following basic qualifying requirements for MBA programs:

• Candidates completing a bachelor's level test from a recognised institution, in any discipline, are qualified to enroll in an MBA degree program.
• For candidates in the unreserved category, an institute may require a qualifying exam aggregate score of 50 percent, and for those in the reserved category, a qualifying exam aggregate score of 45 percent.
• Candidates in their final year may also apply for an MBA programme as long as they complete the prerequisite requirements listed above.

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to be eligible to enroll in a full-time MBA programme in Ahmedabad or another location in the nation:

• 
  No matter the stream, having a bachelor's degree serves as the primary requirement for admission to an MBA program. Candidates must be university graduates from a reputable institution.
• Some institutions have minimal score requirements; normally, applicants who fall under the UR category must receive an aggregate score of 50% at the bachelor's degree level. Candidates who hold reservations are exempt from the qualifying score requirement; nevertheless, they still need to achieve an overall qualifying score of at least 45%.
• Candidates for graduation in their final year may apply for an MBA as long as they can offer documentation that their degree was earned within the institute-specified time frame.
