It's very difficult to get a good MBA institute with this score. As you have work experience of 1-year, it's better to continue with your work. Keep trying for MBA entrance exams or distance MBA courses. You can also look for executive MBA for which you need to have at least 4 years of work experience. Colleges like Great lakes, SP Jain and ISB are good options. Known marketing colleges are SP Jain, MDI, MICA, NMIMS and SIBM (apart from IIMs).

Sometimes, 99%ile can get you into IIMs. I am not demotivating you, but try to check certain sites for the cut-offs as it varies every year.

You have to give CAT again and score at least above 90 percentile or you can give CMAT this year. You need to practice a lot as you have a low score.
All the best.

Hi Shivangi, first of all congratulations for getting a good percentile in CAT. Also, your academic scores are also very good. There are some chances for getting a call from IIMs because number of seats have increased in IIMs for MBA. But as per previous trends, the city off for IIMs closes at 95 percentile for general category. So, it depends on the cut-off and total evaluation. You can also check from below link that from which IIMs you can expect a call after entering your academic details. https://www.shiksha.com/mba/resources/iim-call-predictor.

Hi Neeru,
With 76 percentile it is unlikely. You would require a 99.5+ percentile atleast.

Hi Bunwin, with exceptionally high academic score, you might have an outside chance.

Getting into IIMs with this 69 percentile is a difficult task. Most IIMs look for candidates above 98 percentile. Some good colleges for this score are as follows: 1. XIME 2. Christ University 3. Vellore University 4. CMS Jain 5. Welingkar 6. IFIM 7. IBS 8. BITS 9. IIBS 10. BIMS The most important thing which you should look while selecting a college is your willingness to study in that campus. You can select one from the above.

You won't be getting any good tier-I college. It's better to try for CAT one more time. Or score well in CMAT MAT or other entrance exams. You can look for other exams score this year. Based on this score, you can try for NIBM-Pune, Welingkar, IBS-Mumbai campus, ITM-Navi Mumbai, Balaji Institute (BIIB)-Pune, XIME/ IFMR/ Great Lakes/ IMI-Delhi/ BIMTECH-Noida (chances are less). Look for ROI, average placement offered, summer and final placement percentage, student-faculty ratio before making any decision.
Good luck.
