Hi Vikash,
You can go for CAT. But remember that you will not get an interview call from any of the top colleges including IIMs, FMS, etc. You may be able to get into one of the private colleges depending upon the cost score that you've scored.
Given that you have low marks in school and college, I would recommend that you study hard and get a good percentile - at least above 80, which can improve your chances of getting into a top tier 3, or a tier 2 college as well.

Hi Murali,
If you get admission into an IIM, getting a loan is very easy process. All the banks like SBI and CBI provides education loan at a decent rate. In fact you can go to the IIMs after admission and you'll find a lot of bank personals sitting there and ready to give you a loan in just 5 mins. There are no collaterals needed.
Remember that when you get into an IIM, you will most probably get a good job and then paying back 18 lakhs or more (in a span of 5-8 years) wouldn't be a risk for a bank and they are always sure that they'll get their money back. Hence, they are always more than happy to offer you a loan for such prestigiou

B-Schools do not use CAT or MAT score for MBA by distance learning. Every B-School or university have its own process to select candidates for MBA distance learning. e.g. IGNOU conducts it's own entrance exam for MBA distance learning entrance examination.

Well, our college BVIMR do not accept scores of any entrance exam except BMAT. This exam has been already conducted. Also the admission process is closed for session 2017-19.
