Hi Anindita,
As far as I know, you can receive a call and admission into FMS through regular procedure.
From your placement point of view, you would have to strengthen your skill sets and project a strong candidature to secure a good job in spite of this lag. It is up to you how you are going to defend it in placement interviews and make other good qualities/ achievements of yours overshadow the 2-year lag.

MAT and CMAT both are easy as compared to CAT and XAT and you can take admission in XIME through CMAT or MAT.

Kindly provide some information about your field of interest (core finance/ financial sales/ HR/ hardcore sales/ sales-marketing) to advise you better. However, you can look forward to BIMTECH, Christ-Bangalore and ITM Navi Mumbai. Kindly check the average salary (in-hand) offered by them and sustainability of the job profiles from LinkedIn alumni tour.

The MAT cut-off for PUMBA is 600. So, the probability of your selection through above score is very nominal but you can still try your luck.

The All India cut-off is around 99.23 percentile for PUMBA. So, your percentile do not meet the required criteria.

Hi Saleha,
To be eligible for admission in XIMR, you would have to appear for the MHCET 2017 exam. Once you have secured a score, you will have to apply to the college through DTE prescribed CAP rounds or directly to the college for institute level seats.
As far as I know, the procedure is similar for other colleges offering MMS. For PGDM, the process varies for each institute. I think, among the top colleges KJ Somaiya and Welingkar take applications based on CMAT. You will have to look at their past cut offs for a better picture.
I hope this helps.

You cannot take admission in any college. There are colleges which take MAT scores only, you can apply for those colleges only. There are top colleges too which accept MAT score.

It is better to be sure with a higher score in CAT/XAT but if you did not score well then use these tactics.
First shortlisted some colleges according to your rank or with the help of the invitation brochures you received.
Choose your interested field of job (core finance /financial product sales/HR/hardcore sales /marketing-sales).
Check if the average job profile which is offered by your college is your cup of tea or not (ask it better from the placement officer) and check job profile sustainability from LinkedIn alumni tour.
Find the average in hand salary for your choice of field (not CTC/package as this include TA, DA, media-claim,
...more
