Considering your excellent past academics, if you manage to score above 95 percentile in CAT, you can apply for IIMS, except IIM- A, IIM - Indore, FMS DU. You can also apply for IIT - Delhi DOM and other premier business schools.

SIBM Pune only accepts SNAP test scores. CMAT scores are not accepted.

DTE CAP round is where the entrance exam scores are considered along with other factors like, scores in class 12th, 10th and work experience. Accordingly, you get an all India rank. There are at least 4 rounds of admission, where you have to select college and it has to be a list according to your priority.
You can select 150 colleges names, then according to your merit and priority, you get allotted. You need to confirm the admission. CAP round starts around mid-April.

To get admission in a reputed college, you need to appear for CAT or their personal entrance exam. To get admission in abroad, you need to appear for GMAT exam. Job experience is not required, but if he have some, then it will add as a plus point or understanding of concept will be easy.
