This score is on lower side and difficult to get a good institute at this score. You can re-appear this year again to improve your score. A score above 85-90 percentile is a good score.

You will get the call for GD/PI at this percentile. I suggest that you fill the form and prepare well for the GD/PI. All the best. Keep posting if any more queries.

There is no as such required cut-off score. You can apply with your XAT score and main emphasis will be aggregate distributed to your score on Xth, XIIth, competitive exam and your performance in GD/PI.

Hey Nitin,
You do have a pretty good chance of getting a call provided that all your sectionals are higher than 53 percentile.

You would agree that your score in CAT this year isn't great and you really should not be going anywhere near a college that would be willing to accept a score of 62 percentile. So, I would recommend that you prepare for CAT once again in 2017 so that you can get into one of the top colleges.

I would suggest you to prepare for MH-CET for JBIMS as the college have reservation for Maharashtra domicile students. The cutoff through CAT will be above 99 percentile.

Better to apply before appearing for CMAT exam as we are not sure whether colleges will re-open their admission link or not.

Yes, MBA is a good choice, but it will be very valuable if you get some work experience before taking MBA course. You can go for specialization which you are interested in. Finance do have maths involved and engineers find it easy to cope up and excel. Operations will be more valuable if you get a chance to work with manufacturing or production companies.

IFMR, Great Lakes, LBS-Delhi, IIT-Kanpur/Madras are some of the good colleges with good ROI. You have a good score to convert these colleges.
